In 1917, three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal witnessed a series of apparitions from the Blessed Virgin Mary. If not, Russia would “spread her errors throughout the world,” leading to war, persecution of the Church, and the suffering of the faithful.

The spread of communism and cultural Marxism throughout the 20th and 21st centuries is often linked to this prophecy. These ideologies have attacked the family, morality, and religious faith, leaving behind broken societies and weakened spiritual foundations.

The Final Battle: Marriage and the Family

Sister Lucia of Fatima once warned: “The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family.” This prophecy is strikingly evident in today’s culture, where traditional marriage and family life face unprecedented challenges. From the redefinition of marriage to the breakdown of family structures, the attack on God’s plan for the family has become one of the greatest spiritual battles of our time.

The Power of the Rosary and Reparation

Despite these warnings, Fatima is above all a message of hope. Our Lady promised that if we turn to her Immaculate Heart, pray the Rosary daily, and live lives of sacrifice and reparation, countless souls can be saved. She assured the children — and us — that “in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

The Rosary, she explained, has been given new efficacy for our times. No matter how great the problem — personal, family, or global — it can be resolved through the faithful recitation of the Rosary.
